We’re looking for a Cloud Resilience Architect to our client to strengthen the reliability and recoverability of their Azure environments. You’ll assess both infrastructure and operations, identify risks, and deliver actionable recommendations across high availability, disaster recovery (DR), business continuity (BC), and major incident response.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the resilience of cloud and hybrid environments across infrastructure, applications, and processes.
  • Review and improve DR/BC plans and incident response workflows.
  • Identify vulnerabilities, SPOFs, and gaps in observability or failover.
  • Align with frameworks like Azure Well-Architected, ITIL, and SRE.
  • Document findings and deliver clear, stakeholder-ready reports.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 5+ years of relevant hands-on experience, including:

  • Strong expertise in designing high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) solutions in Microsoft Azure
  • In-depth understanding of Azure infrastructure, including Availability Zones, backup/recovery strategies, and monitoring services
  • Familiarity with cloud-native resiliency patterns and SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles
  • Proven ability to assess and design Major Incident Response Plans (MIRPs) aligned with SLAs and business risk thresholds
  • Experience in business continuity planning, incident response, and process maturity evaluations
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, tailored for both technical and executive audiences
  • Background in technical consulting or assessment-driven project delivery

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing or contributing to enterprise-wide DR testing and major incident response programs (MIRPs)
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 22301, NIST SP 800-34, or SOC 2 Type II
  • Background supporting regulated sectors (finance, healthcare, government) with high availability and data protection requirements
  • Hands-on with Azure BCDR tools: Site Recovery, Backup Vaults, Azure Automation, Service Health Alerts
  • Understanding of multi-cloud/hybrid-cloud resilience considerations
  • Exposure to chaos engineering, resilience testing, and incident simulation tools
  • Experience integrating resiliency checks into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., DR simulation, backup validation)
  • Familiar with platforms like Microsoft Sentinel, ServiceNow, or other runbook automation/response orchestration tools

  • ITIL Foundation Certification
